The Groline Conductivity Sensor Controller HI981413 by Hanna Instruments is an EC/TDS nutrient controller designed to keep your nutrient strength steady in hydroponics, irrigation tanks and small greenhouse systems. It measures conductivity continuously and, when the value drops below your target, it runs the built-in dosing pump to add nutrient solution and bring the level back to the set point. This helps reduce swings and waste.
The system uses the dedicated HI30033 probe for EC/TDS and temperature. The probe is made for in-line or tank installation using threaded fittings. Readings can be shown as EC (mS/cm) or TDS (ppm), with a selectable conversion factor to match your feeding charts.
HI981413 offers two dosing styles. You can use simple ON/OFF control, or choose proportional control for smoother EC stability. Proportional band and hysteresis are adjustable to reduce overshooting. Safety features include a start-up delay, high/low alarms, and overtime protection to limit dosing time. A digital input can be connected to an optional level controller or flow switch to stop the pump and trigger an alarm when needed.
It is built for humid grow environments. The enclosure is IP65, wall-mountable, and powered by 100–240 Vac. The backlit display uses colour status (green/yellow/red) so you can see normal operation or an alarm quickly.
There are different kit versions (basic, in-line mounting, flow-cell mounting) to match your installation. The basic supply includes the controller, probe, calibration solution and documentation.
