È fondamentale gestire i valori di pH della soluzione acqua/nutriente che si alimenta alla pianta. Le piante assorbono tutti i nutrienti solo se applicate al valore di pH corretto; Quando il tuo pH è troppo basso o troppo alto, la pianta non sarà in grado di assorbire tutti i nutrienti. Utilizzando l'idrossido di potassio per aumentare il pH dell'acqua, aggiungiamo anche il potassio (K) disponibile alla soluzione nutritiva. Significa che allo stesso tempo stiamo modificando la reazione dell'acqua e alimentando le piante.
